Feast of Ss Simon and Jude, Apostles

Little is known about these two apostles apart from brief references in the Gospel. The Church reveres them as martyrs. The letter to the Ephesians (Eph 2:19-22) reminds us that we too “are part of a building that has the apostles and prophets for its foundation” and are being “built into a house where God lives, in the Spirit” while the Gospel speaks of the calling of the twelve.
