Feast of Our Lord

The Feast of the Holy Cross holds special significance for Discalced Carmelite Nuns as it is one of the two days of the year that we renew our religious profession as a community as required by our Constitutions.

In the Mass readings Numbers 21:4-9, Philippians 2:6-11 and John 3:13-17 we are invited to consider how the Lord was lifted up for our sakes as “God loved the world so much he gave his only Son.”
